Tips and resources for how to freeze your foods
- Chill foods first
- Separate into portions that can be thawed when needed (this is a great time to add a marinade to meats)
- Make sure the container or bag is sealed tightly and labeled with the date that you are freezing it. If you made the dish already also write out the date you made it.
- Do not thaw foods at room temperature! Thaw in the fridge, under cold water or in the microwave to prevent food poisoning.
